GoodFood is an application offered by the review and suggestion site Goodrec.com. It offers an extremely simple interface for viewing reviews, pricing, and ratings as well as providing great integration with the Maps application for numbers, directions and such.
The app serves as a first stop to finding new or interesting cuisine in the area and does a great job. Users can search by location or name for a specific restaurant, or have a list presented to them by selecting different options to narrow down the selection such as by the type of cuisine or the overall price range of the restaurant. In many smaller areas where Goodrec.com has not been discovered, users will find that there are not too many reviews. But with an ever-growing community, the app only gets more and more useful.
Good reviews are listed in green and bad reviews are listed in red, giving the user a feel for the area in a quick glance. It also integrates with the iPhone camera to allow you to upload pictures of the restaurant for other users to view and experience. It is also possible to add friends for easy viewing of their reviews and preferred dining places.
We've seen this kind of app before but GoodFood is the best I've seen so far. With it's focus on community, it could really change how we interact with businesses and how we go about finding the food we want. I definitely suggest checking it out as it is a free app.
