GPS Mission is a trans-reality game for the iPhone that uses your location to load up the missions in your area if there are any. This game allows you to make your own custom missions by visiting the website directly, but the iPhone app doesn?t offer a lot of features.
You?ll treat the iPhone app like a viewer for GPS Mission. When you load it up, you?ll be presented with the world around you in the Map tab and any active missions or gold in the area. It seems that wherever you load up the app will provide you with some gold to collect just to keep you entertained if there aren?t any missions, but honestly, that isn?t very fun. If you?d like to, you can pop into the Waymark tab and leave a little note and picture, but besides that, you?re not really doing much with this app unless there?s a mission around.
There are plenty of uses for this app considering that missions can require you to get to a specific location.

Imagine a tour through a national park or any other outdoor location. With this app there are a lot of great possibilities for some really fun adventures. Unfortunately, they require quite a bit of work to pull off in any way.
Missions can be made online through the GPS Mission website, but this takes all the fun out of the iPhone app. If you could make missions directly from the app and had to actually go to the location to make a way point, leave gold, or even require a riddle be answered, this would be a great app. Unless you?re eager to make a mission online or know someone who is, pass on this app. It?s a great concept, but it?s just missing something.
