Grocery IQ is a grocery list app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that helps make grocery shopping that much easier. The App Store has been flooded with grocery list apps since day one, but Grocery IQ does a decent job of standing out from the rest by providing a list of over 130,000 items in their database so you're not just keeping notes in a fancy app.

There are four areas to this app: List, Favorites, History, and Aisles. List is where you'll add all your groceries that you need on your next trip to the store. Pressing the plus button allows you to start typing what you're looking for. Once you find it, you can tap on it and modify the size, aisle it can be found in, quantity, add a note, and add it to favorites. You can also check off whether or not you've grabbed the item in the list tab as well.

Favorites allows you to mark items you buy on a consistant basis. This makes creating a new list that much easier once it's already in the favorites area. History will show you everything you've purchased in the past so if you bought something one time and really liked it, this is where you would go to find it again. Aisles is a pre-set list of the different aisles most grocery stores have. Each item is assigned an aisle on their page, but you can change this around to fit your store. You can even rename them.

Compared to all the other simple lists out there, Grocery IQ blows them out of the water. You may not necessarily need a grocery list app, but having the ability to email the list to yourself or recall previous purchases makes this app definitely worth looking into.
