I Dig It is a game built on the idea of mining for jewels and other interesting things. Players will take control of an awesome digging machine and begin drilling tunnels in the ground to discover precious metals that can be sold. Aside from just looking good, this game has some excellent gameplay that kept me going for a while.
The controls are very simple. The joystick is used to move the machine as well as to activate the drill and to hover back to the surface. As the player progresses lower and lower into the dirt, upgrades must be bought to keep the machine in good condition and allow it to get back to the surface before running out of gas or exploding by overheating. The game ran extremely smooth while playing and can keep you literally playing for hours on end.
In fact, that is where one of the problems begin to surface. If you have been playing for hours in this game, trying to beat the campaign, one mistake and you will have to start over again. This would be fine if there were checkpoints or users were allowed to save, but there is no option for either. Too many times I played it, made a mistake and had to start all over again.
Aside from this annoying problem, the game is a lot of fun and kept me entertained for a long time. It's currently at a very low price with the promise of some major updates. So check it out while it's still cheap, it's definitely worth the price being asked.
