iBowl is another accelerometer based sports game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game is brought to you by the same developers who brought your iGolf and it definitely has the same Nintendo Wii feel to it. The game is all around solid and takes full advantage of the hardware, so it's definitely worth checking out.
The instruction screen is laid out the same in iBowl as it was in iGolf. All you do is position the ball, hold the bowl button, swing your iPhone, release the button, and check the screen. There's even a familiar looking warning down bottom that tells you to make sure there aren't any objects that you could hit while playing.
The game is completely single player, but you can challenge your friend to a game by sending them your high score to beat. This doesn't really extend the game play that much, so don't bank on this being any more than a single player bowling game. It is fairly enjoyable to actually swing your iPhone around like you're really bowling, but that may vary depending on how active you like to be with your iPhone games.
iBowl is a well made and simple game for the iPhone that is free to play. There's little reason not to check it out, but you may want to get a rubber case so you can grip it when you start virtual bowling. Definitely not a game you're going to let little children or people you don't trust play with on your iPhone.
