One of the many things that makes the Mac OS great is the ability to use the dashboard and have widgets. This feature hasn't really been ported over to the iPhone but through third party developers has been made available for the device. iGizmoz is an app that attempts to emulate the user-friendly dashboard first seen in Apple computers. The app offers plenty of differet gadgets to use or play around with. Things like stopwatches, photoframes, sticky notes, tictactoe, and much more.
The placement of the widgets and different settings are completely customizable.
As for the use of this app, I have only found a few good ones that the iPhone can't do standardly. I like to use it as a countdown to different events like my anniversary or the days until Christmas. The app doesn't work unless it is open which limits a lot of the functionality it could have.
Overall, it is a fun idea and obviously has its uses. But I can't really justify keeping it on my phone simply because it basically does a lot of the things that the iPhone can already do. Check it out if you like the Mac dashboard, but otherwise this app will just turn into another app that was fun but loses its appeal. It runs very cheap so take a look.
