SUMMARY: Light up your world while keeping your fire lit

Ignite is a very interesting game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The idea is something new that I have never seen. You assume the role of a flaming blob of napalm. Your whole objective is to relight tepees of sticks and light up the dark world you find yourself in. Each time you jump you lose a bit of your flame and jumping to high or far will extinguish it completely. By jumping from platform to platform, you can reach your goal and eventually defeat the evil Water Warlords who did this evil did in the first place.

The game features some great fire effects and realtime lighting of the 3 different environments that are offered. Controls are handled by pulling a button from the bottom of the screen. The further a player pulls, the farther Iggy the Flameboy will jump. If the player just not jump soon enough, the platforms will burn up and send them to their cold, dark doom. This game was pretty fun when I played it, but eventually it grew mundane and monotonous.

Overall, the game would be great if it was offered for a really cheap price or for free, but with only 30 levels of barely any variety, it just seems too overpriced. Great music, great gameplay, and some good looking effects, but a bit too expensive for what you're getting. I recommend passing on this app until its developers decide to put it on sale
