Aardvark is a very interesting app that is now starting to take off thanks to a recent acquisition by Google. The service offers an easy-to-understand concept that focuses around getting questions answered. As opposed to a search engine, the answers to your questions come directly from other users that have claimed to know about the subject you are posting. Once you submit a question, everyone that has your topic in their knowledge list gets notified and is given the chance to answer. The system is easy and it truly works.

The iPhone app is essentially a mobile duplicate of the larger site and doesn't leave many features out. You can still ask questions or answer some for other users. As soon as an answer is available, it will come to you via push notifications. Answers usually come with the first 10 minutes of asking and in my experience, I rarely had to wait long for a simple question. The interface of the app is perfect and everything is extremely fast.

There were many opportunities for me to answer questions about the subjects I know such as iPhone apps and music composition. I also tried out some tougher questions to see what kind of answers I could get and I must say the system works wonderfully. The app is available free in the app store so download it and try out a few questions of your own.
