We have now been graced with the addition of another app that brings the classic game of battleship to new heights. The memory of calling out letters and numbers in hopes of hitting a ship is a fond one and now you can do it all over again on your phone. But this version of battleship, aptly named iSink U, adds a whole new dimension to the simple game of hide and seek bombing.

Now, each ship has it's own firepattern and mobility and players have the option to move mid-turn as well as choose from a single shot or a special shot. The game implements an action points gameplay mechanic which allows player to move their ships mid game and fire multiple shots as long as they have the points to do it. The game is in 3D and really plays quite smooth. A large complaint that I have is that selecting the square you want to bomb isn't always the easiest and the cursor will sometimes get stuck in an area and won't want to move.

Complete with decent animations and great graphics, this is the best ship battle experience that one can buy for the iPhone. It's not without its small problems and annoyances, but with the head to head turn-based multiplayer and challenging computer bouts, this game will keep you entertained for a while. Check it out.
