The iPhone offers some amazing options for game developers to explore. There's the accelerometer, the touch screen, and the graphics engine to take into consideration. iSlots apparently decided that none of this was important at all and made the most simple and boring game to hit the iPhone.
Slot machines are the least interactive out of any casino type game you could possibly make. Most slot machines don't even have a lever for you to pull down anymore. That means all you're doing is pushing one to two buttons and watching your money disappear. So why would this even been an enjoyable stand alone game?
All you'll be doing is pressing how much to bet on each spin. There's next to no reason to do anything but bet the max amount.
That's because there's nothing useful that you can do with the money. It's not real and it can't be used in any other casino type game. So over and over again, you'll be pressing the bet max button and either winning or losing. That's about it.
The worst part about iSlots is the fact that the developer used the scrolling LED to advertise the other games they make. So besides seeing your money go up and down, you're staring at an advertisement over and over again. iSlots would be great if it was part of a casino game, but as a stand alone, it's a complete waste of space.
