iSynth is a dynamic photo viewing application that harnesses the power of Microsoft's Photosynth program for the iPhone and iPod Touch. iSynth will have the user dynamically flying through photo compilations with ease using the device's touch interface. For those of you who are unaware of what Photosynth is let me explain.
Photosynth is a technology being produced by Microsoft that allows the aggregation of photos of the same location. So say, a grouping of photos from the Taj Mahal can be organized into a 3D model-like arrangement that allows a user to then "fly" through the arrangement of photos as if they were walking through the actual area. This gives the feeling of depth and offers a unique perspective on locations.
iSynth gives users access to this amazing technology right from their device. Users can search for a specific synth to view or they can just tap on the "most viewed" or "nice and synthy" which give some great compilations right away. Once in a selection, simply dragging in any direction will change the perspective of the shot and clicking on the forward button will move the shot in and out.
This technology is pretty amazing and is definitely worth looking at even for a little while. It shows a possible future in how we view photos of locations and events. The app is given to users free, so there is no reason why you wouldn't take a look at how this works and enjoy looking at all the different locations that can be found on it
