Looking for information from the CrunchBase database? iThread is an app built to specifically take advantage of the CrunchBase Web API to provide you with all of the information you need about technology companies and the people who work for them.

The app is very simple and rather confusing if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. It has three tabs down bottom: Company List, People List, and About. In company list, you'll be searching for a specific company or just browsing through the list to find the one you want more info on. When you find it, opening it up will provide you with a list of the people who work for the company.

The People List is the same as finding people from the company list. It will provide you with as much information as possible, including the company name, blog, homepage, images, and external links. This can be very useful when trying to figure out who to contact at a tech based company.

iThread simply makes the web API of CrunchBase that much easier to use on the iPhone. This isn't something you'll get a lot of use out of. However, for those who are keen on knowing who works for what and where when they're out meeting new contacts, it's always useful.
