Wikipedia is the new go to source for finding out anything that you could possibly need to know. That is, if you trust the other users who add to and edit the site. Unfortunately our wonderful iPhone Safari browser doesn't make visiting the regular Wikipedia website that easy. iWik is another iPhone app that allows you to easily browse through Wikipedia without having to constantly zoom in and scroll around.
iWik acts as a mini browser specifically for Wikipedia. You can't enter anything into the search bar, but you also don't have to worry about scrolling left or right. Everything is formatted exactly for the iPhone screen. You'll be able to search for any term you like and pull that page up directly.

It does take a little longer then going directly through Safari.
There isn't a lot else that this app allows you to do besides view Wikipedia. You can go through any of the links on each page and easily hit the back button to get to where you started. There isn't a forward button, but you can just tap on that link again. There are also two buttons that let you increase or decrease the font size. This can make things a lot easier to read if you're having trouble with the standard font.
It's sad that because one Wikipedia app launched without a back button, having one is a big deal. iWik offers everything you need to view Wikipedia on your iPhone very easily. If you constantly search on Wikipedia, this is worth the investment, but if you can wait until you get home or don't mind scrolling around on Safari, save the dough.
