The iPhone and iPad are both great devices to have when you need to access your computer on the go. There are plenty of times when you might need to quick look at file located on your computer, close out of a program you accidentally left running, or just shutdown. While there are many different programs you could use do accomplish one of these tasks, only a true remote desktop application will give you the complete control to manipulate your computer from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.
Jump Desktop is yet another client attempting to bring your desktop to you wherever you are. The app is fairly simple to set up and in no time I was looking through my folders. The app sets up automatically for you using your Google account though there was one large issue, it only works for Windows, and even then, only if you have Windows Professional or higher. Luckily I had just that and I was able to demo this software. The controls are fairly simple, tapping somewhere on the screen will move the pointer and click. Otherwise there is a circle below the pointer that can be dragged to move it.
One really nice feature was the ability to hear all the sound coming from the pc connected. Sadly, there is no support for multiple monitors which was a large turnoff for me. Overall, this was a good client but not the best in my opinion. Check it out.
