LEGO Batman is a package of games for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It would be unfair to call this one game as there are plenty of different game types available within the app to constitute as a pack.
When you load up the game you?ll have the option to either play through story mode or freeplay mode. Keep in mind that to unlock everything for freeplay mode, you?ll need to play through it at least once in storymode. This is a great way to give this app that sense of achievement. There are tons of different games, and not all of them have you playing as the good guys either, so keep that in mind if you?re not a fan of the capes.
The story mode is a brand new story unique to this device. Each game that you play falls in line with what?s going on in the cut scenes. You?ll actually become slightly interested in the events of the story and even more curious as to what the next game will be.
These games aren?t easy, either, so don?t expect that just because it?s a LEGO game that this will be a walk in the park.
The only frustrating thing about this game is the instructions. At the beginning of each game you?ll see ?How To Play? pop up. Not once does it tell you the controls. Some levels require touch while others use the accelerometer. It?s not too difficult to figure out which is which, but being told in advance would be nice. This is a really fun game with a lot of replay value. If you like minigames, Batman, or LEGO?s, definitely check this app out right away.
