You will buy the supplies, set the prices, advertise and upgrade to high tech juicing gadgetry.
Everyday news flashes give you a great indication on where the current sweet spot is, allowing you to rake in the money. First, you will need a winning recipe. Unfortunately, once a good recipe is found you rarely have to alter it, making this potentially dynamic aspect of the game quite simple.
Weather is another variable a savvy tycoon will have to keep tabs on in order to maximize profits. On warmer days, the lemonade is highly desirable and you can pretty much set the sale price to anything you\'d like. On chilly days, the demand for cold lemonade will decrease. If your prices aren\'t adjusted accordingly you won\'t sell many cups, at the same time upsetting your customer base.
There are ten places to set up shop for the day, each with unique tendencies and individual target markets. The park, for instance, is crawling with kids. Children love lemonade but don\'t have much money, so you\'ll need to be in position to adjust your selling price. The different locations have their own character and are fun to explore. Except for the suburbs, which is free, there are varying rent costs you must pay per day.
Once you have some cash, it is a good idea to buy upgrades. It is fun making the money for the upgrades but after you buy them all there is little drive to continue playing the game. Except, maybe, to beat your best earnings. There is plenty of room for achievements or unlockables in the game, but they\'re just not there.
The graphics are not overwhelming, but do a great job of illustrating the action of the day. It is fun watching them line up in front of your stand as it only means one thing: money. You can clearly see the weather and your customers reaction to the lemonade from a bird\'s eye view.
The sound in the game is also not incredible, however is good enough to just do the job. Most players will opt to listen to the music from their iPod library, as this game supports that functionality.
The controls are well done and straightforward. Usually you are adjusting quantities of supplies by tapping buttons, the controls don\'t get any more advanced than this.
It should be noted that the free version of the game is ad-supported. After a long day of selling lemonade there is a chance an advertisement will appear. The only difference between the paid version and the free version is the presence of ads. I discovered, however, that if you play the free version in Airplane mode(iPhone) or without Wi-Fi (iPod touch) the ads do not appear.
At times, the game can be very repetitive. However, the journey to master lemonade salesman is not easy and very fun. It is worth checking out and delivers hours of entertainment.
