After willing taking their first lightsaber app down from the app store, they promised it would return with full approval from THQ Mobile and LucasArts. After working hard to encorporate the new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed game into their original idea, the day has finally come and LightSaber Unleashed is now available on the app store.
When you load up the app you'll see an advertisement for the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Mobile iPhone app. This must have been part of the deal they struck up with THQ Mobile and LucasArts to allow them to use everything correctly. When you pass on buying the new app, you're brought to the lightsaber app. It automatically starts you off in a profile, but you can choose between: Darth Vader, general Rahm Kota, The Apprentice, Shaak Ti, and Maris Brood.
Each character has their own lightsaber. Three of them are red blades, and the other two are green and blue. You can find out background information on each character just by pressing the info button right above their heads. Once you've selected who you want to be, you simply tap the screen for the lightsaber to go on or off. There is a button for you to zoom in, making the whole phone the lightsaber. And there's a button to play battle music.
This is quite the improvement over the original app. The fact that it is still free and offers some real Star Wars imagery and sound make it pretty amazing. This app can safely reclaim it's place as a must have app on the iPhone, simply to show everyone your lightsaber. You probably won't have any more use for it after the first 30 seconds, but it's still nice to keep around.
