SUMMARY: A full featured remote desktop app for the iPhone and iPod Touch

Check out, because your kids deserve the very best educational apps!

LogMeIn is a remote desktop app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This app is really full featured, and rightfully so as it does cost quite a bit. This app does work on both PCs and Macs but keep in mind that while there is a free version of the desktop software, you won?t have access to all of the devices features.

Before you set up this app on your iPhone, download whichever version of the software you would like to your computer and set it up. This will require you to set a username and password that you?ll continue to use with the iPhone app. Once that?s done, run the application on your computer and you?ll be ready to take things on with your iPhone.

Loading the app up on your device is fairly easy. You?ll need to enter in the username and password for your account once, select the computer that you?ve configured it to work with, then enter the login information again. This can be done over any internet connection it seems, but WiFi will obviously give you the best results. Over 3G there was less lag then would be expected, which is great for when you?re on the go. LogMeIn is a full featured remote desktop experience that you can view in both portrait and landscape mode. You can pull up a virtual keyboard, move the screen around, move the mouse around, click the mouse, and zoom in and out. There?s even a settings tab that lets you adjust plenty of different options to make this app that much easier to use depending on your preferences.

LogMeIn is a really cool app. In fact, it clearly is the best remote desktop app we?ve seen so far. You don?t need to remember your IP address or be on the same network to connect and you really have full control over just about everything. The quality of the desktop that you?re viewing is amazing and you?d be hard pressed to find a better experience anywhere else. The only thing that seems to be throwing users off is the price and the different services that LogMeIn offers for their desktop client. If you have a need for a full featured remote desktop app for your iPhone or iPod Touch and can appreciate a well made app, definitely check this out. For the rest of you who think it costs way too much, you clearly don?t have a strong enough need for a full featured app such as this.
