There are plenty of racing games out for the iPhone and iPod Touch offering something for every type of racing fan out there. For those of you looking for a sci-fi combat based racing game, Low Grav Racer might be the answer to that search.

This game follows the same tried and true racer game play that we?ve grown to love on these devices. Use the accelerometer to steer, tap on the left hand side of the screen to break, and don?t worry about acceleration. Unfortunately, it doesn?t seem like you can really tweak the sensitivity of the accelerometer, so it may take you quite a while to actually get comfortable with the controls. For some of you, however, you might just not be able to master the controls.

Around the course there are all sorts of power ups for you to pick up and either defend yourself or attack your opponents with. This does spice up the game quite a bit, but sometimes you?ll feel like even with great weapon after weapon you still won?t be able to capture first place. This can get frustrating and may turn you off from playing the game unless you?re good a racing games in the first place.

The graphics for this game are pretty decent. The backgrounds and the racetracks are really great quality. The ships look decent, but not nearly as great as the rest of the game. Low Grav Racer offers 12 different tracks to play through and allows for quick play or competition modes so you can either play a few rounds or just one.
