MeetMe is another social networking app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This app focuses on providing you with an idea of who uses this app in your local area.

When you first load up this app it will ask to locate you. After it does that, you?ll be able to see all the people in your local area. Before you start searching through them, it?s best to make a profile. In the profile area you can enter in your name, gender, preference, and age. You can also enter a quick bio and what you?re doing right now. This is all visible to other users, so be careful what you put there.

Besides making your profile you can also send messages and view other users profiles. The profiles are displayed by distance away from you and include their picture, name, what they?re doing, their bio, age, and distance from you. There are four displayed per page and you can scroll through them with the arrows. Inside the profile you?ll see all the same information with the option to send a message. Your messages will be tracked privately on their profile page and in your messages section too.

It?s hard to take another social networking app seriously. Unfortunately, these developers do. This app also exists on the G1 so you may find a few more users over there, but don?t hold your breath. Even though it?s free, pass on this app.
