Games » Mini Golf 99 Holes Review

Mini Gold 99 Holes Theme Park is yet another mini golf game available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Taking a unique turn, Digital Chocolate has decided to mold this game into a type of mini golf game that take an aerial perspective instead of a first person or characterless perspective. Characters each have unique specials that can be applied to the ball after their hit which really adds to the arcade feel of the game.

The game is divided into different courses that can be played through. There is a tutorial course that will guide a new player through all of the basics and then they are on their own to achieve the highest score possible. Controls are pretty basic, the direction is controlled by different rotating arrows and the power of the shot is controlled by a button the player holds down until the right amount is highlighted.

The game plays like an online mini golf game and those who are familiar with these type of games will understand what I mean. The music in this game tended to get a bit annoying to me and I found myself switching off the sounds frequently to keep myself sane.

The game plays wonderfully, and the special abilities given to the unlockable characters (not unlocked at the time of this video review) just give this game enough of a boost to warrant it a place in my games page. It's priced in the medium range for games of it's type but there is a free version offered to try out 9 holes if you are a little skeptical. Check it out today and see for yourself.
