Navy Patrol Coastal Defense is a tower defense game based on the high seas. The game is produced by ICS and is by far the hardest tower defense game I have ever played. The game puts you in control of an entire fleet in the navy as you try to defend different coastal bases that are being attacked. The gameplay is exactly what you would expect from a tower defense game. It offers a variety of towers and ships to defend with and constant waves of enemies to destroy. But unlike most tower defense games, it offers unique features such as powerups and different upgrades that can tilt the tide in your favor.

After destroying a few waves, the game will offer you a chance to upgrade your ships. This is normal for any tower defense game. But it will also give you the choice to earn a point towards defense, offense, or technology specials that can be used in-game. These special powerups are dragged over a certain area and give whatever is in the area covered a boost or will directly affect the enemy ships like the EMP special. These add a whole new factor into the game and are essential if you ever hope to win.

Money is not easily obtained in this game so strategy is extremely crucial. There is a free version in the app store, so grab that and see if it floats your boat. But I would definitely recommend it for any tower defense fans.
