NetNewsWire is a free rss reader for the iPhone and iPod Touch. For anyone already using NetNewsWire on their Mac this is a great solution for taking your rss feeds mobile.
The app works by syncing with your Mac via a Newsgator account. Don?t worry if you don?t already have an account - it can easily be set up via the preferences pane on the Mac version, and requires only a username and password.

By syncing through Newsgator, any feeds you read on your iPhone will automatically show up as ?read? on your Mac, and vice versa - meaning you won?t need to reread anything when you get home.
Despite its functionality, NetNewsWire does have some basic limitations. The first thing we noticed in the app was that folders aren?t collapsable, which can be annoying if you?re following a lot of feeds. While there is no landscape mode or ability the mark posts as ?unread,? both of these are slightly relieved by the ability to open a post in Safari or move it to the ?clippings? folder.
Even with the limitations, NetNewsWire is a great app for anyone who already uses the program on their Mac. Though there are less features and control than on the desktop version, this app is great for keeping up to date when you can?t always be near a computer.
