Next Read is a handy app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to easily remember and rank the books that you?re interested in reading. Whether you found it on the shelf or your friend recommended that book to you, there?s a way to record it with Next Read.
Next Read uses Amazon.com to search for everything. All you need to do is enter in any keyword you would like, whether it be as specific as the title or as general as the genre, this app will populate a list of the top 15 results for the keyword in order by rank. This search page will show you the name of the book, the author, the cover of the book, a rating out of five stars, and your recommendation rating. Tapping on any of the results will bring up all of that information plus a button to add the book to your list and all the Amazon.com information regarding price and how to purchase it.
Once a book is added to your list you?ll be able to give it a recommendation score. The scroll wheel that you?ll be selecting the scores from is something you can completely edit to fit your needs. That means if there?s someone who always seems to recommend great books, you can add them to your score wheel as a higher mark. This all falls into one of the many ways that you can actually sort through the books when you?re looking to recommend something or looking for what you want to pick up next.
