SUMMARY: Pick colors and view shoes that were created

NikeiD is a service by Nike that gives customers the chance to design their own personal shoe. For around $100, people can log onto the site and pick literally every make, material, and color of their personal shoe. They can even add a personalized tag on the shoe with some words. Nike has now released an iPhone app with the same name that hooks up with the NikeiD site.

Now before any of you get excited, the app doesn't actually allow users to make their own shoe in the app. Instead, Nike decided to limit the usability of the app by only allowing users to look at other shoes that have been designed on the site. Users can take an image from their camera or photo gallery and choose two colors from the picture. Once two different colors have been chosen, the app will then bring up a large selection of shoes and apparel that other users have made on the site. From there, users can choose a shoe, add a personalized tag, and then purchase the design right from in the app.

Overall, the app is a unique idea but kind of a let down considering what the site can do. It's free in the app store so check it out.
