OpenTable is an app that works directly with OpenTable.com to help you find an available restaurant reservation. This isn?t a new concept, as the website has been around for quite some time and apparently works directly with many restaurants, even local ones. This isn?t the type of app you would use to find out about new restaurants, this is more of an app that will help you find out exactly where you can eat at 7:30pm tonight.

To experience this app in the fullest, make sure you register for the OpenTable website. Unfortunately this app doesn?t make the registration process any easier as it doesn?t include a web link or built in registration process for you to do so. For an app that seems to promote the use of the users profile directly through the app, this is a big let down that hopefully the developers will take care of in the next version.

When you?re ready to find a place to eat, you can select your current location or select a location from the provided list. The next step is to determine when you?re looking to grab something to eat. You can search up to one month in advance and select any time as well. They also give you a field for party size so that the reservation times can be properly represented.

The final part of the app is a list of restaurants that OpenTable handles. Each one lists the name, distance, town, price rating, and times that reservations are available. If you tap on the specific place, you can get more information about the location and even put your name down for that specific time slot. This is much easier if you?re registered though. Overall this app is pretty handy if you like to make reservations for restaurants. If that?s not your thing, you can probably do without this app.
