Everybody remembers the days of pacman or has heard of them. I still have yet to meet someone who hasn't played the famous game. Namco has now released Pacman Remix, a remake of the original classic with 3D characters and twice the annoying sounds. The game is set in a three dimensional world that is once again haunted by ghosts and full of kix cereal.

All the great gameplay elements are still here from the original like the power dots that turn the ghost into edible blue ghosts and the warping sides that transport the pacman to the other side of the level. The game has two different control types to choose from and both have their disadvantages. There is the arrow keys that can get annoying due to the fact that the up and down are right on top of each other and there is the swiping option which doesn't always register right. So either way, I had some frustrating times while playing the game.

The game also adds some interesting gameplay features like the booster which will make the pacman go faster and plow through any ghosts in the way, but it wasn't anything too game-changing.

Overall, Pacman Remix basically lives up to its name as a remix of a game that keeps the same feel and adds a new look and a few new features. But Namco has earned a reputation for overpricing their apps and they definitely have with this game as well. The change in look definitely doesn't justify the price that the company is asking for and because of this I would recommend passing on the game. They have a pacman lite in the app store that will give you almost the same pacman fix as this game and it's free
