Palmist is a fortune telling app for the iPhone. What it does is it has you take a picture of your hand and then compare it to the information that this app has to offer so you can give your own palm readings to your friends and even yourself.
When you load up the app, you're given two options: left hand or right hand. Pick whichever one you want to photograph and get it to match up directly with the lines. This can be difficult, but if you can see your hand fully or just look at your hand after you've taken the picture, you can still get the same results. From there you have three more options for your palm reading: life line, heart line, or head line.
Each of the lines will give you information on a different part of your life. Regardless of what line you pull up, the app functions the same way.
It provides you with the picture of your hand and superimposes lines over it. You can scroll through different lines that match up with your hand and each one will tell you a little bit more about what that specific line means. Further into the scrolling process, it will even show you what it means when multiple lines make contact.
This is a neat little app that gives you the impression that it is interactive. The entire thing could have been handled simply by providing you with pictures of a hand and a more detailed description of what each line meant. Instead, they let you take a picture of your hand and try and line it up perfectly. If you can manage to line it up perfectly, consider yourself luck.
