Peggle is another gem from the creators of Bejeweled and other hit arcade games. It's been around for a little while and now it has been brought to the iPhone and iPod Touch to try it's hand at mobile gaming. The game is basically a port of the PC version and without doubt is one of my most favorite games to date on the iPhone. The game looks and feels gorgeous not to mention the sounds are some of the highest quality to date. The object of the game is to eliminate all the orange pegs on the level by shooting marbles at them. Gravity takes effect and bounces the marble every which way and ultimately is lost in the bottom.

The player is only given 10 marbles to complete a level, but there are features such as the ball bucket that will save your ball if caught and many other specials that are found.

This game feels ridiculously amazing and completely brought me back to the days of trying to win prizes in the local arcade. As I already said, the game presents itself amazingly well and I could not get enough of it while I was playing. With over 55 levels to play through and then continue playing, this game has awesome replay value. It basically combines pinball, brick breaking, and random chance for an experience yet to be rivaled in my eyes.

It's priced a little higher in the app store, but for the quality game that you will be purchasing for a fourth of the PC price, this game is an instant classic and will be staying on my phone forever. It is one hundred percent worth the price asked and is a shining example of what we should be expecting in iPhone games as far as quality, sound and replay value. Check it out today, you won't be disappointed.

eggle consists of 4 different gameplay modes. Adventure Mode which is the main game mode, Quick Play which allows you to play any unlocked levels you have completed from Adventure mode. Challenge mode offers 40 challenges for more advanced player which must be unlocked, and Duel will allow you to play against the computer or another human player on one device.

As you begin you quest in adventure mode you will be presented with a brief set of instructions before you are tossed into the challenge.

To aim your ball you simply slide your finger to the location you would like the ball to travel. A green line will appear showing you the balls initial path. To fire the ball you press the button located on the top right.

As your ball bounces around the pegs you will have the chance of collecting some bonus points, and power ups throughout the levels. These are represented as different colored blocks that offer bonus points, double and triple ball releases, Super guides which shows both the initial and secondary path the ball will take, as well as other various bonus and powers.

As you collect pegs your Fever meter will fill along the right sides of the screen resulting in bonus points being scored. Along the left side of the screen is the Ball-O-Tron meter which rises based upon the combo points generated each shot. If you happen to reach 25,000 points on one shot you will receive an extra ball.

You also have the ability to speed up the gameplay before launching your ball by pressing the fast forward button on the top left. Don't overlook this feature because by timing out your shots you can not only collect a few needed pegs but if properly timed you can get your ball back by bouncing your ball into the moving basket along the bottom of the screen.

As you progress through stages the maps become much more difficult to clear. Without giving away too much these stages will require some creative and lucky bounces to complete. Hey who ever said being a Peggle Master would be easy?

Once you complete the Adventure mode you will unlock the Challenge mode which will really challenge your skills by placing specific objectives like clearing all the pegs on a board, or achieving a specific number of points. As I mentioned before there are 40 of these challenges awaiting you.

Duel Play will allow you to play against the computer or a friend, but this mode is locked until you clear at least the first stage in Adventure mode.

You basically take turns on the same map trying to earn as many points before the level is over.

All in all its the best game in app store
