Pipe Mania is an app that is building on the classic gameplay developed by Lucas Arts\' classica game "Pipe Dreams" The game itself has been around since the late eighties and received a much needed graphical remake in 2008. Now the newest version has been ported over to the iPhone and iPod Touch and fits perfectly with their touch interface. The game\'s focus is pretty much what you would expect it to be. It\'s all about pipes.

The object of the game very similar to tetris but different. Random pieces are given to the player and the object is to connect these pieces together forming a connection between the entrance and the exit. Players must turn and weave the pipe to utilize as much space as possible and in turn earn as many points as possible. Pipes can be destroyed, but at a cost. The game has a story behind it and gives many opportunities for different scenarios. Players are presented with 39 different levels that have their own unique twist in gameplay.

The replay value of this game is definitely up there. It is basically a puzzle game that will leave you frustrated but coming back for more as you try to beat the clock. There were so many times that I kept rearranging my pieces to try to get the best points only to find out I had a leak.

Overall, the game is well-crafted and is an excellent puzzle game. It\'s offered for a pretty cheap price, less than half of what you can find it for on other consoles. The pipes sometimes got to me, but that is the beauty of this game, you have to stay on top of the pieces and maintain a good strategy. Check it out, it will keep you going for a while.
