Puzzlotto is a logic puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game has some big hype behind it, considering that each day the puzzle goes unsolved, the prize pool increases by $1,000 until the 30th day. If no one claims it by then, the $30,000 is donated to charity.
The prize money is definitely creating a stir for this app, but how's the game? Well, there are no directions at all. You'll have to figure out exactly what you need to do on your own. It's clear that there is some form of pattern, but again, there is no official explanation of the game.
The developers have even stated that if you think you've solved it, you haven't.
The artwork in the game is definitely sharp. Considering its only one screen with a background and a few different sprites, they still did a decent job with making it look appealing. Unfortunately, that's not necessarily enough to make it a good game.
Puzzle games are suppose to be difficult and offer a great reward. At some point they can become too difficult and the puzzle will lose its fun. For most people, this game isn't going to be worth the $4.99. If you really enjoy near impossible puzzles then this is the perfect game for you.
