Rasta Monkey is another great touch game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Your crazy old father monkey is getting too old to collect fruit for his "special fruit shake". So as a good son, you are employed to swing your way around your strangely happy world and collect fruit for your withering father. You will fling yourself around with strange glee to the cool beats of some reggae dub music. Each level adds a new bit of challenge as you will avoid enemies, fly off levers and roll through tunnels to find those tiny bits of fruit. This game offers a great soundtrack that will keep you bouncing along with it as you fly through the jungle.
With it's upbeat sounds and fun graphics this game lends itself as a beautiful piece of art. The game play in Rasta Monkey is excellent, being simple enough to understand but complicated enough to keep you going. Once you master the controls (as I am still having a hard time doing) this game gets smoother and you'll find yourself swinging through the trees with ease. This game surprised me with it game play, and kept me coming back for more as I was playing.
Overall, with a cool soundtrack and some really smooth physics-based game play, Rasta Monkey will keep many entertained and is definitely a worthy purchase. If you're one for 2D adventure games, Rasta Monkey is a sure buy and earns the price it's developers are asking for. Check it out.
