Rebolt is a game for the iPhone and iPod Touch where your goal is to recover artifacts while defending yourself from other robots. This game offers some great graphics and gameplay, but it mostly boils down to attempting to get the highest score possible on each level.
Rebolt offers a 3D world with cell shaded robots and items. The levels are all randomly generated so each time you play things will be slightly different. Don?t expect huge changes, but there?s enough to keep you guessing which way to go. The object is to get as many artifacts as possible in the three minutes you?re given. Unfortunately, It?s not that easy. You?re going to have to fight off other robots with the many different weapons you find.
You control your robot through the accelerometer. The controls handle pretty well but you?ll still find yourself awkwardly turning around until you get a handle on them. When you?ve collected a good deal of parts you can tap on your robot to bring up the customization screen. Here you can equip the weapons on four different areas of the robot. Remember that the weapons are directional, so you?ll have to make sure you cover all your sides. The robots you?ll be facing are pretty tough. Not only do they damage you but they also destroy your weapons.
This game is really enjoyable to play and with the built in Blurst membership, you can post your scores online. This game is a lot of fun and offers you a great experience for a very reasonable price. The replay value is very high as well, considering all the levels are randomly generated and the goal is to get the highest score. Don?t forget, you can also unlock the story of what happened to the human race as you play through the game further. Rebolt is really a game that offers something for everyone.
