RSS feeds are one of the most awesome inventions to come to the internet in my opinion. It is so nice to have all of your favorite websites brought to you instead of having to check every one for new content. While Google Reader works just fine for the iPhone, the web app struggles on the ipad and doesn’t really take advantage of the large amount of screen space the tablet offers.
This is where River of News comes in. The app has been specifically designed to sync with your Google Reader account. Once added, your feeds will automatically update and show in a very clean format that you can flick through. You can sort by Unread, All, and Starred as well as Mark All As Read. There wasn’t really much more to the app but that’s ok, because it did its duty perfectly.
You can still share to different services and even star an article. It’s not revolutionizing the way we view our feeds, but it sure beats having to use the web app. Check it out.
