Games » Rockband Review

Rockband has finally made its transition to the iPhone market and despite some arguable flaws, it is a glorious transition. EA brings players the ability to play guitar, bass, drums and vocals right from their device in either a single player world tour or multiplayer across bluetooth. The song list is made up of a ton of classics from popular bands throughout the decades. There are a total of 20 different songs to pick from ranging from beginners to the absolutely impossible. the controls are pretty much the same for all instruments with each having four different buttons to press for different notes.

The graphics in this game were excellent and it seriously feels exactly like the console version of the game.

I had heard this game had a bit of a lag and I did find that it sometimes wouldn't line up with the music, but after restarting my phone the game ran perfectly and I didn't have any issues. People with larger thumbs may have a hard time hitting all the notes quick enough. There are plenty of downloadable songs and I would expect that more will be released in the future for the app.

Overall, Rockband is priced a ton steeper than its main competitor Tap Tap. You are definitely paying for the name but it does bring a certain quality to the iPhone as well. Check it out.
