SUMMARY: Keep track of your running statistics

Run Keeper is an app that helps you keep track of exactly how long and far you've run. This app is heavily reliant on you having a solid GPS signal or your results may end up skewed. Once you've finished your run, if you have registered with RunKeeper.com you can actually upload your statistics to their website to share with the community or just for personal viewing.

Run Keeper offers a much simpler solution to recording your run. This app only records your time and miles when you're actually running, but it will provide you with your miles per hour and your average mile pace. This can be handy when you're training and you need to get your speed up to a certain pace. The only issue is that the information might not be accurate enough to matter over such short distances if your GPS Strength isn't great.

Each one of your runs is recorded in your History tab and can view how you've been doing. This is really handy for going over how much your performance has increased since you started using the app. To use this app correctly, you really need to have a 3G iPhone and be in an area that has a direct view of the sky. That can be difficult for many runners as they usually have their route planned around the ground, not the sky.

Run Keeper is a perfect health and fitness app for anyone who runs in a major city. Considering you'll want to have the best possible connection when you're running and AT&T doesn't have the best 3G network, everyone else is going to feel a little left out. This is another great substitution for Nike+ and a fun app to use if you like to run.
