Scoops is a fun accelerometer based game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. In this game, your goal is to catch as many scoops of icecream as possible. You're armed with an icecream cone that sways left to right as you tilt your phone and all you need to do to get the high score is avoid the vegetables.
The way Scoops works is simple. At the bottom of the screen, there is an icecream cone. This cone is controlled by the accelerometer. Both icecream and vegetables fall from the sky so it's your job to just grab the icecream. Every time you catch a vegetable, you lose one of your three lives.
Catching a vegetable also disrupts your multiplier which grows just by not catching vegetables and catching icecream. Keep in mind that catching the same color consecutively will give you a bigger bonus.
This game is really enjoyable and very easy to pick up and play. The developers have set the sensitivity of the accelerometer high enough that you don't have to whip your device around to be able to play it. That makes this one of the few accelerometer games you could actually get away with playing in public.
Scoops is a really fun puzzle game that is very easy to get into. It seems really simple and it's surprising that you don't lose anything for missing icecream until you start missing a lot of them in a row. The sensitivity of the accelerometer lets you play this game a little more incognito then other games of this type, so definitely check this out.
