SUMMARY: Create personalized audio greeting cards with this app!

Silly Songz is an audio greeting card app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With this app you can select a cheesy song and add a personal greeting to send to your friends and family.

When you first start the app, you will have a list of songs to choose from. Ranging from "Answer yer phone" to "You're my Favorite girl", this app has a wide selection of songs for every situation. To preview a song, simply tap on it, then tap the "Preview Songz" button. Once you have picked a song you like, tap the "record message" option to begin your personalized greeting.

After tapping the "Record Message" option, you will be taken to a screen where you can: record your voice, add an image, change the song, or email the greeting. When you tap the "Record Message" option again, you will have 15 seconds to say what you want. If you would like to hear how you sounded, tap the "Preview Songz" option to have the app replay what it had recorded. Once you have finished, tap the "e-mail Song" option to begin the upload to their server, which will then redirect you to the mail app so that you may choose the contact you would like to send the "Silly Song" to.

To begin with, the songs are extremely cheesy. You may enjoy this if it is a gag, or this fits your personality, but others may find that "Just Divorced her, let's Party" to be a tad offensive and out of touch with the seriousness of the subject. In my personal opinion, I would use this app sparingly, simply because I know I would lose my friends if I didn't. The songs themselves are well recorded, have excellent instrumental tracks, and take their lyrics very seriously. The lyrics themselves can range from funny to distasteful, depending on who you send it to and for what purpose. There are only two minor complaints that I have with the app itself. One is that the interface for the song selection begs a little bit more programming and better design choice to make things easier for the user. As of now, it is finicky when selecting a song and attempting to preview it. The other problem that I have is that the audio quality that this application records your voice with is pretty bad; Though, it is understandable that this app should compress the audio so that it may be uploaded to their server without any complications. Because this app is very dependent on your comedic personality, I would recommend trying out the free version in the AppStore before making a purchase.
