SlotZ Racer is a racing game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Unlike most of the racing games we?ve had a chance to play, this one takes place with track cars similar to the toys we use to play with.

The game has two parts to it: racing and track creation. You can race your car around the track in either single player or multiplayer mode. Depending on which mode you select, there will be 1-4 buttons around the screen for you to press to increase the speed of your car. As it?s all on tracks, there?s no worry about steering. This is an interesting approach to multiplayer having it all on one device. You can opt to either do one race or a championship, regardless of how many players you have, so this definitely keeps the game interesting.

Track creation mode is the second way to play this game. You?re given all the pieces that you?ve seen in the game and a blank board with nothing on it but a start area. From there, its up to you what you?d like to do. You can create turns, bridges, humps, and much more. This is probably one of the most robust level editors out for the iPhone and iPod Touch at the time of this review.

With all the unlockable tracks and cars plus the ability to create your own levels this game is one that will keep your entertained for quite some time. The racing is fun yet frustrating until you get a handle on it, but once that happens, you?ll be addicted.
