Solar Quest is an accelerometer game that puts you in control of a spaceship as you try and navigate through different different obstacles and collect all the bonus points you can before you reach the end of the level.
The developers decided to flip which way this game was laid out, so don't default to the normal sideways hold. There's not really a lot of settings to mess around with, so you can head right into the game. You'll be tilting your iPhone up and down to keep your ship from hitting the rocks or obstacles on the screen. You'll also be doing the same to try and grab all the extra lives and bonuses available.
Your speed stays constant throughout the level unless you hit the warp speed button. The warp speed button does take awhile to get to max speed but you can drop back to normal speed very quickly just by letting go of the button.
The levels aren't too long so you won't have trouble finishing them as long as you don't keep hitting objects.
It's an interesting game that uses the iPhone controls very well. The environments are nice to look at, but get old after awhile. The same goes for all the obstacles you need to overcome. It'll keep you entertained for a bit. Don't harp on this being one of your go-to games.
