SonicVox is a voice changing app for the iPhone and iPod Touch 2nd Gen. This app allows you to speak into the microphone, allowing you to change your voice on the fly. Unfortunately this app doesn?t work while on a phone call, nor does it provide any sort of recording function.

When you load up the app you?ll see a colored ball going back and forth across the screen. This is the only thing you?ll see on the screen while using this app. Basically, this tells you what pitch you?re in and how much echo you have applied to your voice. The only instructions you will find are the ones that flash at the beginning of the app. After that, you?re on your own to remember.

To change the pitch, slide your finger horizontally. This will allow you to distort your pitch from high to low and if you?re lucky get it back to normal. Moving vertically with your finger will change the echo. Echo can get really annoying really fast so be careful with this one as it?s not easy to get back to normal.

This app is fun to mess around with for a little bit, but the lack of recording or exporting function makes it fairly useless. Sure you could hook it up to your computer, but if you do that, why not just buy a microphone and get a voice-changing program for your computer?
