Space Bikers is a physics based motorcycle side scrolling game for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game follows this storyline: "A company of space bikers from Motoria planet is heading to the universe moto trial contest" when an asteroid hits their ship and they're forced to land on the strange planet earth. With a damaged ship, the mini bikers are then shoved into this new world with no food or way out. For the entirety of the game, the player will spend their time trying to navigate the 3 different bikers to find food and pieces to rebuild their tragically broken ship. The player uses the buttons to drive and tilt the character's bike and attempt to run over the different pieces found across the various levels.
The menus in this game are as smooth as butter. The physics in this game are what the company is definitely trying to show and they really do a pretty good job. But the game itself does not lend enough game play variety and feels extremely slow while you are playing. Fans of Jellycar or similar games may find this game interesting, but it only incorporates one aspect of game play which is the physics.
Overall, Space Bikers is a small game that may be fun for children or for a casual passing-the-time sit down session, but it will ultimately be deleted pretty quickly from your device. For the price that it is set at in the App Store, it may be worth it to check out, but in my book, it just does not have enough interesting game play and feels unfinished.
