Space Miner is a game that essentially takes the concept of Asteriods, and builds it to be a game that fits in today's mobile gaming world. The gameplay is still very much the same with the player boosting a ship around an asteroid field shooting everything that gets in its way. But where the game differs is that the asteroids yield ore that your character is mining. The game features the player as the nephew of a redneck space ore miner.

Your goal in the game is to collect ore and bring it back to trade for money. The more money you have, the more upgrades you can buy. So essentially the game is taking the asteroids formula and merging it with a story-driven rpg element. This is an interesting take on the genre as the story really just justify the repetitive gameplay. It is a fun experience as you take out asteroids and avoid other enemy objects and save up for a better gun or shield. The game has some excellent graphics and the sound is just as good.

Overall, the game is a fun mix of two different genres and is well-worth the purchase. It has a great blend of gameplay elements and mixed with an interesting story, it becomes a game worth checking out.
