Sprocket is a challenging puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that has you take the role of an engineer to complete a series of gears. Your goal is to make the target gear spin in the right direction by connecting the gears that you're given to work with.
The game offers over 30 different levels for you to play your way through. Each level will have a set number of gears for you to use. Some puzzles may require you to use all the gears while others only need a certain number. Each gear you add to the chain will switch the direction that the gear will turn, so you have to make sure you get the final gear headed in the right direction.
What makes this game difficult is that you have to get the gears just right in order for them to make contact.
The video will show you a struggling attempt of trying to get all the gears to line right up. This is something you may struggle with but can overcome if you sit down with the game and really think things through. There isn't a timer, but you do gain more bonus points for completing a level faster.
Sprocket is a really well made game that could definitely benefit from a downloadable level option. If there was a community around this game that developed new levels, it would take off in a second. For right now, it's an enjoyable game with a steep learning curve, but it's definitely worth checking out.
