Stachetastic is a photo manipulation app for the iphone and ipod touch. The basic concept of this app is to take a picture from your phone or take a photo on the spot and start adding hair. The app offers about 26 different options to paste on your photo most of them being hair with a couple different accessories. The program is fairly easy to use and gives users plenty of ways to attack the photo. Item's are added and can be re-sized, moved and rotated according to the user's preference. Once set, more items can be added. Kudos to the creators who have decided to include fairly realistic hair into this program. It really helps to bring interest as some addons will actually look real when added. Users then have the ability to save the images that they have created to then share with the world. One big issue I found while using this app is that there is no option to flip an item. This was annoying as some of the items are facing a certain direction. At the time of this review, Stachetastic was available for $.99 at the app store. This price makes sense for such a small app and will be worth it for those who want some quick fun or just have a strange desire to add mustache's onto their pictures. But for most of you out there, this app will only keep you entertained for one or two uses before feeling like a paperweight on your device. Check it out and decide for yourself.
