If you're a fan of any of the existing music simulators for the iPhone, you'll probably like Steel Drum. It's nothing much to look at, but the steel drum that you're presented with allows you to touch it in many different areas for all the different sounds. You can even use more than one finger on the screen at the same time too.
The sounds are really great, but you can't really drag your finger across the drum to get the sounds you want. It's a bit of a hit or miss game until you figure out what sound comes from where. After that though, it becomes a lot easier.
Steel Drum is enjoyable and definitely interesting, but the question is will you keep it on your iPhone? Probably not. If it was part of an assortment of different random instruments, it would be excellent. But as it is a very limited app, you're kind of stuck with exactly what you see.
