Super Monkey Ball was one of the first games to be featured on the iPhone. The game was immensely popular because of its focus on the accelerometer and how it showed off what the iPhone and iPod Touch could do. SEGA has finally released their second piece in the series aptly named Super Monkey Ball 2. Although there isn't a crazy amount of noticeable changes, the game has updated its experience where it counts.

The controls of this new version are essentially the same but have been refined to give the player much more control and less frustration while tilting. I can personally vouch that the game was much more fluid while playing. The actual visuals of the game look pretty similar although I did notice that the monkeys in the balls we truly three dimensional this time as opposed to the two dimensions they had last time. The game features 115 different courses to play on and each of those courses can be replayed again and again or be played with friends via a wifi network.

There are many who have been complaining that it flickers and freezes, but this has been linked to those who have jailbroken devices. The game ran excellent for me and will most likely keep me entertained for weeks to come. Check it out.
