Symmetry is a photo manipulation app for the iphone and ipod touch. The

basic concept of this app is to take an image from your photo library

on your device and find interesting art in it by applying symmetry. The

app offers many ways to make your image into a kaleidoscope of colors.

Simply by pulling the image along an axis, different patterns and

designs can be made. Once you have a design that you like, you can then

add another axis to the picture and keep chopping to further increase

the effect. Having settled on a picture that you are satisfied with,

you can then save it to your library to email or show friends. It

sometimes felt a bit choppy but the overall experience was smooth and

straight forward. The app also works in both portrait and landscape

mode.

For those of you who consider yourself artistic or just are

looking for a way to kill some time, this app will be great for you. At

the time of this review, Symmetry was priced at 1.99. As far as I could

tell, there isn't an app like this that does as great of a job and

offers as many options as this app does, so the price may be worth it

for many of you. I would recommend checking it out and seeing what kind

of designs you can make.
