Keeping with the trend of games we?ve seen from Tapulous, the new Tap Tap Dance has made its way over to the iPhone and iPod Touch. While we?ve seen Tap Tap Revenge and it?s Nine Inch Nails versions, Tap Tap Dance offers some differences and a whole new set of licensed songs for you to enjoy.
The basics of this game are definitely all the same. The objective of the game is still to tap all the different colored balls as they cross the line and shake your device to the rhythm in an attempt to follow the music and obtain a high score. Two player moe is still intact and you can log into this app with your Tapulous profile and link your score to it. So what?s exactly new in this version? Tapulous has updated their Tap Tap Revenge engine and this is the first game to take advantage of it. That includes the ability to tap and hold notes, multi-tap notes, and even enter a star power like mode.
Tap Tap Dance offers ten different track over three difficulty levels for you to play through.
At the end of each difficulty level you?ll unlock a final stage that is completely customized. These final stages offer a music video like feel to the game and are truly designed to compliment each of the three songs. These levels are by far the most enjoyable part of the game.
Tap Tap Dance is completely targeted towards fans of dance music. If that?s not your style, you?re not really going to enjoy this app. The new Tap Tap Revenge engine will be implemented into the next generation of that app launching in early 2009, but if you want to check it out right now, Tap Tap Dance is the fastest way to do so. This game is definitely worth downloading if you enjoyed the previous Tap Tap titles, especially considering the fact that you?re paying so little per song.
