Television is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to watch television shows from 18 different web TV sources. This app aggregates its sources and provides everything for you in one easy package, as long as you?re on WiFi.

Before we begin, let?s reiterate: this app ONLY works on WiFi. The developers disclosed this in their description so there is no reason to hold that against them. With that being said, it would of course be amazing for this app to work over 3G at a minimum, but the limitation was imposed by Apple, not the developers. The way this app works is pretty simple, it pulls down information on all the latest shows from those networks. Next to each video you?ll see a screenshot on the left and more information about the clip on the right.

When you?re ready to watch a video, tapping on it will load up the video in the Youtube player. This is all handled within the app and done very well. Considering it?s over WiFi, the video does load up pretty quickly. During the review we didn?t run into any issues with the videos buffering. At least with this restriction you know that you?re going to see the full video and not sit there waiting for it to load.

Television is an awesome app that allows you to view quite a bit on your device. While the WiFi limitation might turn some off, there are few places where you would sit down and use this app that doesn?t have WiFi. Before you download this app, make sure that you enjoy the channel list that it offers. College Humor alone makes this app worth downloading.
